Rainwater tanks underground, out of sight and out of mind!
Hytek Concrete Products Pty Ltd manufacture a large range of pre cast products and are proud to introduce their new line of underground water storage tanks (rectangle, square and round). All tanks are engineered and made to strict quality controls in the factory and on the field. The square and rectangle models are based on our wine cellars which are engineered and certified to Australian Standards. Please refer to our PDF Brochure for more sizes and basic information.
The round tank is engineered and certified and passed through the SA Health Commission (Approval Number WCS 2266) as a septic or holding tank.
Rainwater Storage
These pictures are of a 40,000 litre septic tank, poured at the Taminga Hotel at Clare, South Australia. The tank is in the middle of a new carpark and was engineered to take heavy vehicle loading.
The tank has been passed through the SA Health Commission as a 40,000 litre septic tank or holding tank, as a water storage tank we can achieve 45,000 litres. The storage tank is 5.2 meters in diameter, with a thickness of 200mm floor, 110mm walls and 350mm lid. Gatic type manhole covers are fitted when completed.
We also have a light vehicle traffic design. These tanks are ideal for industrial and domestic premises where room is at a minimum under carparks, sheds and driveways.
These pictures are of a rainwater tank at Loxton, South Australia. The client, Squizzy Taylor, had minimal room to place water storage. We poured a 3700 x 5400 mm tank with a 39,000 litre capacity on site. The walls and floor were poured with a 40n concrete Xypex waterproofing in the concrete. The tank is situated in a driveway in front of a shed so we had to make sure the engineers report covered light vehicle traffic. When the whole job is finished it will have pavers over the top and a matching coloured manhole and lid.
We have around 20 square and rectangle tanks. These are all based on our pre cast concrete wine cellars which are engineered and certified to Australian Standards.
These rectangle and square tanks are suitable for installations under carports, verandas, sheds, patios, driveways, under lawns, at the side of a hill, even under houses. They can be situated just about anywhere!
